This I s It!

I love this image. I look at it and let the feeling of the light, the dark, and the way two intersect, wash over and move through me. This is why I love photography. This is what I see when I move through my day. The result of light mixed with form.

Geometry, Light & A Dog...

A Dog..,

Meet Roxie.

She is a 3 year old Great Dane I met this past weekend.
She is one of three companions to the proprietor at
the Old North Branch Inn, New York. A really cool spot to spend the weekend and just up the hill from the Delaware River.

Roxie was kind enough to hold still long enough to let me take her portrait.

Geometry & Light..,

Saturday was beautiful, a bit cold but clear blue skies. No photoshop needed that day.

I just photographed these two this past weekend.
I photographed the boy when he was just a baby, and now he has a sister.
It's really even more fun to come back to the same family and see the kids as they change.

This next set was at the Jersey Shore this past August. I was a little concerned about the light, as that bright beach sun can be a bit harsh and make images look like snapshots. Instead we got the gift of nature's diffusion, an overcast day that seemed like it would rain at any moment, yet still bright enough to get some beautiful images.
